Employee assistance programme: employer-arranged support for personal or work-related concerns, with services that vary by provider.
An employee assistance programme gives employees a route to support when personal difficulties or workplace concerns affect their well-being or work. Counselling and referrals are possible services, but the provider determines what help is available and who can use it. Access may extend to family or household members under the employer’s arrangements. The benefit description should explain how to contact the service and where to find its terms. Availability, confidentiality arrangements and service limits need to be checked for that service, since one employer’s offer does not establish another’s.

Christie’s included an Employee Assistance Programme in its Incoming Goods and Collections Technician posting in London, describing access to personal advice and support services including counselling. It is reasonable to ask who can use such a service and how many sessions it covers. Search local jobs for “human resources”.
