Conversion rate is the share of a defined group that completes a specified action, such as making a purchase.
If 100 people enter a shop and 12 of them make a purchase, visitor-to-purchaser conversion is 12%. A person who buys three pieces still counts as one purchaser here. An appointment report may instead start with appointments attended, and a website may count sessions. Before comparing figures, establish who or what enters the denominator and which action counts as a conversion.

Harrods paired conversion rates with tracking appointments in a London jewellery role. Clinique asked a London social commerce manager to improve both click-through and conversion. Following a link and buying an item are two separate actions, so the measures can move differently. Search local jobs for “retail”.
