Tommy Hilfiger is hiring a part-time Retail Supervisor in Southampton to lead shop-floor performance, customer service and team development.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Ensure the efficient operation of the shop floor to deliver the highest levels of customer service, sales and profit.
  • Support the management team in overseeing personnel, product and merchandising functions, store processes and results.
  • Participate in weekly management and other staff meetings.
  • Communicate marketing and sales promotions clearly to staff.
  • Drive shop-floor sales and exceed store targets by motivating the team while delivering an exemplary customer journey.
  • Foster a consistently positive store experience by treating customers and colleagues fairly and consistently.
  • Support delivery of the business strategy and ensure the team receives consistent training in product knowledge and store maintenance.
  • Meet company standards and goals for personal sales results, including sales against budget, sales per hour and units per transaction.
  • Perform manager-on-duty duties, oversee store opening and closing, and manage the sales floor.
  • Keep staff focused on building quality relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Hold staff accountable for building a repeat customer base through consistently spirited, exceptional service.
  • Ensure visual merchandising directives and “door to floor” best practices are implemented on the sales floor and in the back room, and review them regularly for consistency.
  • Work with the management team to build a talent pool for key positions, including potential successors.

Qualifications

  • Previous supervisory or specialist experience within a premium or luxury brand.
  • Previous people-management experience, including the ability to resolve conflict and unproductive disagreements.
  • Effective communication and relationship-building skills.
  • A collaborative approach, with the ability to recognise and celebrate others’ contributions and achievements.
  • Confidence in giving feedback that promotes positive behavioural change.
  • Adaptability to change and the ability to work at pace.
  • An energetic, authentic presence on the shop floor.
  • A proactive, “can-do” approach and initiative in finding in-store solutions.
