Founded in France and now part of LVMH, the company brings together an exceptional portfolio of beauty brands with a distinctive culture of discovery and innovation. As an employer, Sephora offers a dynamic, customer-centered environment where talent is encouraged to learn, experiment, and grow across retail, digital, merchandising, operations, and corporate functions. Its teams are united by a passion for beauty, entrepreneurship, and belonging, making Sephora a compelling workplace for professionals seeking impact within a fast-moving international brand.

Sephora is hiring a full-time, permanent, on-site Retail Education Trainer for regional roles in London, the North and the South. The trainer will deliver learning and onboarding, coach store teams and leaders, support talent development and succession planning, and evaluate learning’s impact on client experience and store performance.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Deliver SEPHORA University learning programmes across the region, translating national education priorities into in-store learning.
  • Deliver onboarding programmes for M&S, Boutiques and new starters.
  • Facilitate classroom, virtual and in-store learning across product, service, leadership and commercial capability, adapting delivery to different audiences and store environments.
  • Coach Store Leaders, Beauty Advisors and Specialists, providing practical feedback to support the application of learning on the shop floor.
  • Help Store Leaders identify individual and team development needs, agree actions and follow up on progress.
  • Embed SEPHORA service behaviours to support consistent, inclusive client experiences, using Love Meter and Mystery Shopping results to focus coaching.
  • Build partnerships with Store and Regional Leaders and HR Business Partners, translating business priorities and capability gaps into targeted education and coaching.
  • Support new launches, key business initiatives and commercial priorities through relevant training and team engagement.
  • Work with the wider Retail Education team to deliver programmes consistently across the UK and share field insights to improve the education offer.
  • Evaluate learning through knowledge retention, coaching follow-up and observable behavioural changes, linking development to client experience and store performance.
  • Use learning and performance insights to identify trends, refine development actions and sustain learning beyond the classroom.
  • Identify emerging talent and support future SEPHORA Leaders, Specialists and Experts through targeted coaching and opportunities to develop their capabilities.
  • Contribute to succession planning with Store and Regional Leaders, helping Cast Members prepare for their next career step.
  • Champion continuous development, celebrate successes and share best practice across the region.

Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of experience in retail learning, training, coaching or people development, ideally in beauty, luxury or another fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
  • Confident facilitation skills and the ability to engage different audiences in classroom, virtual and in-store settings.
  • Strong coaching capability and confidence in giving constructive, actionable feedback.
  • Commercial awareness and an understanding of how education can improve client experience and retail performance.
  • Excellent relationship-building and communication skills, including the ability to work effectively with Store Managers, Regional Leaders and HR.
  • An analytical approach and the ability to interpret learning and performance information and turn insights into focused development actions.
  • Strong organisation and follow-up skills, with the independence to manage competing priorities across multiple stores.
  • An adaptable, solutions-focused approach and the ability to respond to changing business needs.
  • A genuine passion for developing people, recognising potential and creating opportunities for others to grow.
  • A commitment to role modelling SEPHORA’s values, learning culture and ambition to welcome everyone into the world of beauty.
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint and Excel, with strong reporting and follow-up skills.
