HR Advisor (Maternity Cover) at Puig, London: Provide employee relations expertise and HR support in this 12-month temporary role.
Role & Responsibilities
- Provide expert advice across all areas of employee relations, including absence management, dispute resolution, performance management, disciplinary procedures, mediation, and flexible working arrangements
- Fully manage employee relations cases with support from senior HR leadership as required, serving as escalation point for complex matters
- Coordinate and attend meetings, generating documentation and correspondence in a timely manner with full attention to detail
- Work collaboratively with key stakeholders to ensure consistent process delivery and optimal team member experience whilst meeting departmental objectives
- Maintain current employee relations knowledge and complete tracking documentation to establish proper audit trails and demonstrate compliance
- Design and deliver HR fundamentals training programmes for line managers
- Manage incoming HR inquiries with prompt and professional responses
- Monitor probationary periods and partner with managers to ensure correct procedures and effective management of underperformers
- Maintain e-file systems ensuring all documentation is current, properly organised, and fully GDPR compliant
- Collaborate with the People Services Team to address payroll, pay and benefits matters and facilitate onboarding and offboarding processes
- Support the Talent Acquisition team with candidate shortlisting, interviewing, and participation in recruitment events including careers fairs and assessment centres
- Conduct exit interviews and analyse feedback to identify trends, improve retention, and enhance overall engagement
- Oversee maintenance of the HR Hub platform, ensuring all policy and process updates are reflected and content remains relevant and engaging
- Champion wellbeing initiatives and support general wellness activities across the organisation
- Contribute to ad-hoc HR projects and strategic initiatives as required
- Build and strengthen relationships with the retail team through regular store visits
Qualifications
- Relevant HR experience in a similar role within the premium beauty, fashion, or luxury goods sector
- CIPD qualification or equivalent, or demonstrated progress toward a professional qualification
- Excellent understanding of UK HR processes, systems, and best practices
- Proven experience managing employee relations cases and providing strategic HR advice
- Exceptional accuracy and meticulous attention to detail
- Strong planning and organisational skills with ability to prioritise competing demands
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment whilst maintaining quality standards
- Demonstrated ability to influence and drive consistency whilst establishing credibility through excellent service delivery

Experience
Relevant experience in a similar HR generalist or employee relations role, ideally within the premium beauty, fashion or luxury sector. Proven track record managing employee relations cases, providing strategic HR advice, and supporting multiple business stakeholders.
Education
CIPD qualification (any level) or equivalent HR professional qualification, or active progression towards certification
