Prada is seeking an In-Store Operations Manager in London to lead back-of-house operations, stock management, team development, financial processes, store systems, and health and safety, while coordinating closely with front-of-house teams and the Store Director. The role also oversees e-commerce and repairs, supplier relationships, maintenance, and operational compliance.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Oversee and streamline operational processes to coordinate front- and back-of-house teams and improve efficiency and teamwork in daily operations.
  • Keep team members informed of operational activities, changes, and processes; serve as the in-store contact for operations queries and provide ongoing support.
  • Ensure operational coverage is aligned with changing business demands.
  • Submit accurate standards reporting to headquarters each month.
  • Administer the EVO digital time and absence management platform in collaboration with the Store Director.
  • Ensure effective operation of the in-store radio system and facilitate communication between front- and back-of-house teams.
  • Manage refreshment and catering orders for client-facing store activities.
  • Lead and develop the stock team, including stock controllers and runners; conduct monthly team meetings and one-to-ones, and provide feedback, support, and development.
  • Oversee stock handling, protection, and organisation, including storage, preparation, and movement of merchandise to the shop floor.
  • Ensure returns, transfers, uniform orders, gifting, press samples, tailoring, dry-cleaning, and returns processing comply with company guidelines.
  • Oversee monthly cycle counts, negative stock reporting, and proactive inventory planning in line with business objectives.
  • Monitor back-of-house operational KPIs, including cycle counts, e-commerce dispatch speed, refusal rates, and outbound dispatch speed, and work with stock controllers to optimise performance.
  • Oversee e-commerce activities and coordinate stock team and e-commerce operations.
  • Track VIC orders with the front-of-house team to support the customer journey and service excellence.
  • Monitor repair processes, tracking and following up regularly in collaboration with stock and client advisor teams; follow up weekly on outstanding repairs and drive process efficiency to enhance the client experience.
  • Manage and track exports with stock controllers.
  • Oversee packaging and stationery inventory and maintain stock levels with support from the stock team.
  • Work with the Store Director to analyse, monitor, and manage the store’s P&L.
  • Oversee Xstore POS functionality and operations, ensuring integration with financial processes and accurate reporting.
  • Conduct daily banking reconciliations, monitor petty cash flow, and manage monthly reporting to the finance team.
  • Manage third-party supplier relationships and processes, including tailors and couriers, and oversee related costs with the Store Director.
  • Monitor and report financial activity through Xstore, ensuring timely and accurate financial tracking.
  • Act as the main IT contact for system issues and projects, helping team members resolve challenges promptly.
  • Conduct weekly health and safety checks, including fire alarm and ladder checks, to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Oversee health and safety training for new starters and coordinate training initiatives with the security team.
  • Manage store maintenance, including upkeep, incident reporting, and monthly compliance updates with head office teams.
  • Coordinate cleaning schedules and ad hoc maintenance with third-party suppliers and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Ensure company guidelines on communication and documentation are followed in cases of theft.
