Alexander McQueen seeks a Retail Merchandiser in London to define seasonal buys and optimize EMEA retail performance within a luxury fashion environment.
Role & Responsibilities
- Define and deliver the seasonal buy for the EMEA retail network
- Collaborate with the Retail Merchandising team to ensure alignment between product strategy and market opportunities
- Partner with Planning, Visual Merchandising, and Retail teams to optimize product assortments by store, region, and client profile
- Analyze business performance and provide insights and recommendations to maximize sales and sell-through across categories
- Support in-store product launches, delivering cohesive stories that balance creative vision with commercial objectives
- Monitor competitor activity, market trends, and client preferences to inform buying decisions and identify growth opportunities
- Contribute to the development of tools and processes that drive efficiency and improve decision-making across the merchandising function
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in retail merchandising, ideally within luxury or comparable sector
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities whilst maintaining attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, able to influence stakeholders across functions and levels
- Strong appreciation for Alexander McQueen's aesthetic and ability to balance creative vision with commercial needs
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with particular strength in Excel; experience with merchandising or planning systems advantageous
