Kiehl’s is seeking a Deputy Store Manager for its Bath boutique, working 32 hours in a permanent, full-time role. The position partners with the Business Manager to coach the team, drive sales and customer loyalty, support events and sustainability initiatives, and oversee counter operations.
Role & Responsibilities
- Partner with the Business Manager to coach counter talent, drive retail performance, and champion Kiehl’s apothecary skincare heritage.
- Assist with onboarding new team members and provide on-floor coaching in skin diagnostics, consultative storytelling, and customer service standards.
- Co-pilot counter sales targets and KPIs, monitor performance metrics, identify revenue opportunities, and proactively address commercial gaps.
- Ensure the counter team consistently delivers Kiehl’s welcoming service model and builds long-term loyalty with regular and VIP customers.
- Support the planning and delivery of counter events, product launches, and sustainability initiatives, including Kiehl’s recycling and refill programmes.
- Supervise daily counter merchandising, stock replenishment, tester hygiene, and team rotas using Tamigo and One Retail.
Qualifications
- Collaborative supervisory skills, strong commercial awareness, and an authentic consultative approach to healthy skin solutions.
- Ability to guide team members, provide constructive feedback, and foster team development on the shop floor.
- Practical understanding of retail sales KPIs, conversion drivers, and proactive strategies for achieving counter targets.
- Familiarity with skin barrier science, personalised regimen building, and Kiehl’s brand heritage.
- Practical skill in cultivating customer loyalty, engaging shoppers, and delivering authentic follow-up care.
- Structured approach to rotas, inventory replenishment, hygiene benchmarks, and digital retail tools.
