Kate Spade seeks a part-time Sales Associate in Edinburgh to advise customers on products and styling, build complete looks, support sales and maintain store operations. The role requires prior retail experience, strong selling and communication skills, and schedule flexibility; full-time equivalent base pay is £26,325–£28,000 annually, pro-rated for part-time hours.
Role & Responsibilities
- Welcome guests warmly and confidently, demonstrating strong product knowledge.
- Listen actively and ask insightful follow-up questions to understand customer needs.
- Provide styling advice, recommend add-on products, and create complete looks.
- Show creative ways to wear products and encourage customers to explore new styles.
- Guide customers through purchase decisions and ensure a seamless checkout experience.
- Affirm and celebrate customers’ choices, inviting them to return.
- Drive results through strong customer connections and storytelling.
- Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of the brand and product attributes across all categories.
- Maintain operational excellence, including stockroom organisation and POS transactions.
- Give and receive feedback honestly and constructively.
Qualifications
- Professional selling skills and exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Previous experience in a retail environment.
- Ability to multitask, prioritise, and collaborate in a team setting.
- Social media awareness and willingness to learn omni-channel and virtual selling techniques.
- English proficiency, or proficiency in the local language for the market.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet business needs, including nights, weekends, busy season, high-traffic retail days, and public holidays.
