Role & Responsibilities
- Lead and participate in sales floor operations, serving customers with expert advice on shoes, shoe care, and accessories
- Develop and maximize sales opportunities while ensuring exceptional customer retention and experience
- Coordinate and manage bi-annual sales events and projects, ensuring adequate stock preparation, timely client communication, and achievement of budgeted revenue targets
- Develop comprehensive knowledge of all John Lobb products, their features, and benefits
- Maintain in-store displays in alignment with visual merchandising guidelines, ensuring they remain fresh, relevant, and visually compelling
- Manage customer queries and correspondence promptly, including inquiries regarding opening times and stock availability
- Process internal employee orders while maintaining strict adherence to internal policies and accurate record-keeping
- Monitor sales trends using appropriate indicators and propose initiatives to achieve monthly sales targets
- Contribute to the compilation, maintenance, and utilization of an accurate customer database in support of CRM initiatives
- Produce daily transaction sheets for the accounts department and manage banking and cash reconciliation
- Maintain accurate weekly and monthly reports on sales and store performance
- Manage stocktakes twice yearly and conduct bi-weekly cycle counts
- Maintain detailed stock and sales database in Cegid and produce ad hoc reports as required
- Ensure proper stock storage, handling, and participation in receiving and maintenance processes
- Refine and improve internal systems to ensure efficient store operations
- Answer phones and door buzzer as needed
- Participate in security activities and safeguard stock and company property
- Liaise with the wider John Lobb team to support store requirements
- Undertake projects and responsibilities at the direction of the EME Sales Director
- Deliver training to all new factory shop staff, including agency workers
- Ensure the factory shop remains compliant with GDPR regulations, particularly regarding customer data
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of previous retail experience at a managerial level
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Excellent spoken communication abilities
- Spirit of cooperation and ability to foster a friendly working environment
- Responsible and conscientious approach with strong organizational and independent work capabilities
- Willingness to engage in physical work
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Experience in retail administration with a solid understanding of CRM and database systems
- Knowledge of Cegid software is advantageous
