Role & Responsibilities
- Organize and maintain the till area in a clean, tidy, and fully stocked condition to support sales operations, including bags, boxes, note cards, ribbons, and stationery
- Process all point-of-sale transactions with precision, verifying accurate pricing, code references, customer details, and payment methods
- Link all sales to the correct customer records and ensure new customers are accurately entered into the EUDO system
- Open and close the till daily, including reconciliation of previous day's banking, end-of-day cash reconciliation, and preparation of deposits for secure storage
- Ensure Cegid reporting accuracy and timely submission to head office according to established deadlines
- Manage all documentation related to till operations and cash control with meticulous attention to detail
- Communicate sales and cash control issues promptly to the line manager and store manager
- Collaborate with the store administrator to investigate and resolve negative stock discrepancies arising from sales processing
- Provide consistent, warm, and professional client service that embodies Hermès brand values and culture
- Handle challenging situations with grace, composure, and empathy while maintaining professional standards
- Train new staff members on till operation and point-of-sale procedures to ensure operational continuity during cashier absences
- Support the sales team by conducting stock searches and providing relevant product information
- Work with the IT Administrator at head office to report on and resolve Cegid-related technical issues
- Uphold all Hermès dress code, grooming, and conduct standards at all times
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding the company's commercial activities and internal affairs
Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a luxury retail environment
- Proven track record in a client-facing role delivering exceptional service standards
- Proficiency with EPOS systems, EUDO, Lotus Notes, Microsoft Office, and Windows environments
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to work systematically and reliably under pressure
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team whilst operating independently when required
- High attention to accuracy and detail in transaction processing and reporting
- Professional demeanor and presentable appearance consistent with Hermès brand expectations

Proven experience working in a luxury retail environment with demonstrated expertise in client-facing roles. Experience in point-of-sale operations, cash handling, transaction processing, and team support is essential. Candidates should show a track record of delivering exceptional service whilst maintaining operational accuracy and reliability.
Education
Secondary education or equivalent qualification; additional retail, hospitality, or business administration qualifications are advantageous but not required.
