Role & Responsibilities
- Prevent and detect losses and security threats across Harrods locations, including Knightsbridge and Hammersmith sites
- Identify security vulnerabilities and implement appropriate countermeasures
- Conduct suspect detention and evidence gathering in accordance with retail crime legislation
- Recover missing merchandise and conduct investigations as required
- Liaise with departmental managers and staff on crime prevention matters and advisory support
- Work collaboratively with the Security Investigations Manager to enhance operational security protocols
- Refer matters to appropriate enforcement agencies or internal discipline proceedings when warranted
- Maintain flexibility regarding shift patterns, weekend work, and additional hours as operationally required
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Store Detective or similar security role in a high-end retail environment
- Demonstrated competency in suspect detention procedures and evidence management
- Sound working knowledge of retail crime legislation and legal frameworks
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral
- Ability to build strong cross-functional relationships and foster collaborative teamwork
- Proficiency in technology systems relevant to security operations

Previous experience as a Store Detective or in a comparable security investigation role within a luxury or high-value retail environment, including hands-on experience with suspect detention, evidence production, and enforcement coordination.
