Harrods is seeking a Pastry Commis Chef to prepare patisserie and baked goods, organise ingredients and food stock, maintain kitchen cleanliness, and uphold food safety and hygiene standards. The permanent, full-time role is fully on site, working five days out of seven, and offers training and support within the pastry brigade.

Role & Responsibilities

• Prepare patisserie and baked goods.
• Organise ingredients.
• Keep the kitchen clean.
• Organise, rotate and label stored food stock.
• Complete administration for the assigned section by the set deadlines.
• Uphold food safety standards and high standards of hygiene and sanitation across food-related outlets.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of and passion for food and drink.
• Some experience in a professional pastry kitchen, ideally in a five-star hotel, artisan bakery or fine-dining restaurant.
• Strong time-management skills.
• A strong customer focus when dealing with internal and external parties.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills.
• Good attention to detail, demonstrated through completed paperwork, department organisation and maintaining sufficient stock levels.
