Harrods is seeking a Merchandising Administrative Assistant for its Harrods Collections department on a fixed-term basis, with a stated starting salary of £30,000. The role covers reporting and analysis, purchase order administration, replenishment, vendor performance reporting, delivery follow-up and shipment issue resolution.
Role & Responsibilities
- Produce weekly and ad hoc reports for stakeholders across the business.
- Assess purchase order requests from the buying team and key price changes for sale periods.
- Work with the Replenishment Analyst to ensure lines are correctly set up for replenishment.
- Approve and action purchase orders, including reviewing OTB forms.
- Document paperwork for unplanned overspends, highlight concerns to stakeholders, and keep the tracker up to date.
- Assist with the replenishment process.
- Produce weekly and daily trade reports to agreed timescales, maintaining a high degree of accuracy.
- Report on vendor performance, including purchase order fill rates and on-time deliveries, and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Chase deliveries and amend quantities and delivery dates with approval from the Merchandiser and Buying teams as required.
- Resolve shipment issues, coordinating with Distribution and Buying to ensure prompt resolution.
Qualifications
- Strong numerical and analytical skills, with a keen eye for data.
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities, with the ability to perform duties effectively with minimal supervision and guidance.
- A strong customer service focus when dealing with internal and external parties.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build long-lasting working relationships.
- Prior administrative or merchandising experience is preferred but not essential.
- Computer literate, including Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel; SAP knowledge is preferable.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in a fast-paced role.
- Excellent time-management skills and the ability and willingness to multitask.
- A proactive, solutions-based approach.
