Harrods seeks a Dispatch Operative for its Knightsbridge Distribution team to pack, process and dispatch customer and internal orders and support warehouse, courier and export operations. This permanent role works five days out of seven, mainly Monday to Friday with some weekend cover during peak periods, on rotating early shifts (7am–3pm) and late shifts (1pm–9pm), usually one week on each. Training is provided.
Role & Responsibilities
- Accurately pack, process and dispatch customer and internal orders.
- Pack shopfloor and courier orders to high standards.
- Process parcels using IShipper and SAP.
- Handle fragile and varied products with care and precision.
- Support internal collections from the store, Press Office, Management Offices, Legal Office and Chairman’s Office when required.
- Assist with the Courier Desk and special taxi deliveries.
- Help maintain the Trevor Square building daily.
- Assist the administration team with urgent requests and reasonable tasks from the manager.
- Maintain excellent housekeeping and organisation in dispatch and warehouse areas.
- Support export tasks when required.
- Work to the daily deadlines of the Knightsbridge Dispatch team and contribute to a first-class customer delivery service.
Qualifications
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Confidence using PC systems and willingness to learn new software.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility, reliability and a supportive approach to teamwork.
- Ideally, experience in packing, warehouse or distribution roles; training is provided.
- Physical fitness and the ability to meet the operational requirements of the role.
- Comfort with rotating early and late shifts and adaptability to changing demands.
