Harrods is seeking an Assistant Buyer to support the Buyer across product selection, order quantification, in-season trading, vendor relationships and cross-channel coordination for Men’s Superbrands & International collections. The role is a six-month fixed-term contract, full-time, with hybrid working available subject to business needs and a minimum of three on-site days per week.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support the Buyer with product selection, order quantification and accurate product record maintenance.
- Attend buying appointments and prepare materials for brand meetings across all channels.
- Manage in-season trading by analysing sales, negotiating re-orders and driving stock performance.
- Build relationships with concession partners and internal teams to ensure seamless execution of brand strategies.
- Coordinate PR, social media and editorial submissions to support product launches and retail events.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a buying role, ideally within luxury retail.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commercially minded and detail-oriented, with a passion for menswear and a strong understanding of the luxury retail landscape.
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, work confidently with data, build relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and apply a proactive and organised approach.
