Harrods is recruiting an Assistant Merchandiser for its Fashion division to support planning, trading, stock management and commercial performance, partnering with Buying, suppliers and internal teams and guiding Merchandise Admin Assistants. The role is a 12-month fixed-term contract; working arrangements may be on-site or hybrid, with a minimum of three days on-site per week under the hybrid policy.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support the Merchandiser in planning, trading, and stock management across the product area.
- Work collaboratively with Buying and wider business teams to analyse performance, identify opportunities, and improve sales, margin, and availability.
- Deputise for the Merchandiser when required and maintain strong supplier and internal relationships.
- Support the creation of seasonal and in-season plans, producing range plans, forecasts, and analysis to inform commercial decisions.
- Monitor category performance, stock, and Open-To-Buy; highlight risks and opportunities and take action to optimise results.
- Manage weekly and monthly trading reports, ensuring accuracy and effective communication with internal stakeholders.
- Oversee intake and delivery schedules, resolve shipment issues, and ensure availability on key lines.
- Guide and support Merchandise Admin Assistants, helping create a high-performing, collaborative team environment.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a merchandising environment, ideally across multi-brand or fashion retail.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work with minimal supervision.
- Confidence using Excel and ability to interpret and present data clearly.
- Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively with Buying, Retail, and external partners.
