Guerlain is seeking a mobile Beauty Consultant for Selfridges across Manchester and Birmingham. The permanent, full-time role is 37.5 hours across five days, with compensated travel; a car is preferred. The consultant drives sales, delivers personalised luxury service and supports merchandise and stock management across sites.
Role & Responsibilities
- Act as a Guerlain brand ambassador, achieving sales targets while promoting the brand image and delivering personalised luxury service.
- Proactively sell Guerlain products and provide luxury-standard customer service.
- Work towards or exceed sales targets set by the line manager.
- Cross-sell across product categories to increase average transaction value and average transaction units.
- Maintain knowledge of Guerlain products, recommend personalised products to clients and address objections confidently and appropriately.
- Demonstrate products through flash makeovers and explain their benefits.
- Initiate contact with customers and welcome them at the counter and through traffic-stopping activity.
- Identify, understand and reformulate client needs.
- Build personal relationships with clients and develop their loyalty.
- Educate clients about Guerlain products and the brand.
- Participate in merchandise management in line with corporate guidelines.
- Monitor stock levels, report issues to the Counter Manager and ensure sufficient stock.
- Complete assigned operational and administrative tasks.
- Comply with company procedures and policies in the employee handbook.
- Build relationships with store management and follow store policies and procedures.
- Carry out additional duties as directed by the management team.
- Work across multiple sites in Manchester and Birmingham; travel is compensated.
Qualifications
- At least 3 years of experience.
- A car is preferred.
- Tenacity and a willingness to go the extra mile to ensure customers receive the best luxury service.
- A driven, results-oriented approach and the ability to grow business through events and counter activity.
- Self-confidence and ease in approaching and engaging customers.
- Strong selling skills and the ability to pursue additional sales.
- Cosmetics and makeup application knowledge.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to identify products suited to customers' needs.
