Guerlain is seeking a Beauty Consultant for a permanent, part-time position of 18 hours at HBeauty, Silverburn, Glasgow. The role focuses on achieving sales targets, delivering personalised luxury service, demonstrating products, developing client loyalty, and supporting counter operations.

Role & Responsibilities

• Proactively sell Guerlain products and provide customers with luxury-standard service.
• Understand and achieve or exceed sales targets set by the line manager.
• Proactively cross-sell across product categories to increase average transaction value (ATV) and average transaction units (ATU).
• Maintain knowledge of all Guerlain products, recommend personalised products to clients, and confidently and appropriately address objections.
• Demonstrate products through express makeovers and confidently explain each product’s benefits.
• Initiate contact with customers and welcome them at the counter and through traffic-stopping.
• Identify, understand, and reformulate client needs.
• Develop personal relationships with clients and build loyalty.
• Educate clients about Guerlain products and the brand.
• Participate in merchandise management in accordance with corporate guidelines.
• Monitor stock levels, report issues to the Counter Manager, and ensure sufficient stock.
• Complete assigned operational and administrative tasks.
• Represent Guerlain as a brand ambassador at all times.
• Follow company procedures and policies outlined in the employee handbook.
• Build relationships with store management and follow store policies and procedures.
• Carry out additional duties as directed by the management team.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience.
• Tenacity and willingness to go the extra mile to ensure customers receive the best possible luxury service.
• A driven, results-oriented approach, with the ability to grow the business through events and counter activity.
• Self-confidence and ease in approaching and engaging customers.
• Strong selling skills and the ability to pursue additional sales.
• Knowledge of cosmetics and makeup application, with the ability to demonstrate products.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to identify products suited to customers’ needs.
• Immaculate grooming and presentation, embodying the elegance associated with Guerlain.
