Account Manager position at Guerlain Edinburgh. Lead sales and team management at HBeauty, St. James Quarter. Full-time, permanent role.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver a distinctive customer experience and exemplary service by acting as a role model for the team
  • Apply and enforce Guerlain's proprietary sales methodology consistently across all customer interactions
  • Drive customer acquisition, engagement, and retention through strategic relationship management
  • Monitor and manage all retail performance KPIs (qualitative and quantitative) and report against targets
  • Ensure quality service delivery on the sales floor, manage customer inquiries and complaints with speed and efficiency
  • Implement Guerlain's commercial policy and ensure achievement of sales objectives aligned with P&L performance
  • Analyze and report on business KPIs, manage financial reporting and budget accountability
  • Develop and lead action plans, promotional initiatives, and partnerships according to priorities and activity levels
  • Recruit, train, and integrate new team members in accordance with Guerlain values and standards
  • Foster a climate of trust through close team management, regular briefings, and positive engagement
  • Set individual and team objectives, conduct performance evaluations, and identify training and development needs
  • Coach and mentor team members to drive continuous skill development and collective excellence
  • Ensure consistent application and compliance with all store procedures and operational guidelines
  • Manage administrative responsibilities including schedules, payroll, bonuses, training, and related matters
  • Supervise store maintenance, cleaning protocols, linen management, and supplier relationships
  • Oversee risk management including physical security, cash handling, and inventory controls
  • Ensure the counter maintains visual merchandising standards including product presentation, cleanliness, and team grooming

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant retail, sales management, or hospitality experience in a luxury environment
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and coach a team with strong managerial presence and decisiveness
  • Exceptional customer service acumen and interpersonal skills
  • Strong commercial sensitivity and results-oriented mindset
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of retail business management systems and point-of-sale applications
  • Exemplary professional standards including punctuality, presentation, confidentiality, and procedure adherence
