Estée Lauder seeks a Counter Manager to lead, coach and develop Sales Associates and deliver sales, customer service and operational targets at the John Lewis counter in Brent Cross. The role carries full accountability for business planning, customer recruitment and retention, in-store events, customer relationship management and team performance; it is a 30-hour-per-week, fully flexible position.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach and develop Sales Associates to achieve sales, customer service and operational targets.
  • Create and execute an agile business plan to recruit and retain customers through strategic targeting, impactful in-store events, customer relationship management and leadership of a high-performing team.
  • Guide team performance and hold team members accountable.
  • Support team members’ development and strengthen their capabilities.
  • Anticipate, recognize and meet customers’ needs, handling difficult service situations with diplomacy and tact.
  • Build and maintain extensive informal networks and model respect, helpfulness and cooperation.
  • Apply business planning, consumer insights, event management, customer relationship management and frontline marketing to support career progression.

Qualifications

  • Proven leadership, coaching and business management skills gained in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Quality customer service skills and the ability to win people over.
