Role & Responsibilities

• Deliver dishes from the kitchen to the designated front-of-house area efficiently.
• Check that dishes are clean and presentable before serving them to guests.
• Polish and prepare serving equipment before service.
• Prepare tea and coffee to guests’ preferences and quality standards.
• Clearly label dishes with special requirements, deliver them to the correct table, and alert the Head Waiter so they are handled appropriately.
• Set up tables and prepare equipment before the restaurant opens.
• Complete closing duties, including cleaning tables, storing equipment, and resetting the dining area.

Qualifications

• Work effectively with others, including kitchen staff and waiters.
• Listen carefully and follow instructions and procedures.
• Manage time effectively and complete tasks promptly, particularly during busy periods.
• Remain on foot for extended periods and safely carry plates, trays, and other items.
• Demonstrate attention to detail.
• Have a basic understanding of food safety and keeping food and work areas clean and safe; training is provided.
• Experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is preferred but not required.
• Understanding how restaurant service operates, including how food moves from the kitchen to the table, is preferred.
• Remain calm and focused under pressure, including in busy or noisy environments.
• Fluent English.
