Role & Responsibilities
- Operate, secure and improve infrastructure across the corporate office, datacentre, Azure and hotels worldwide, spanning on-premises, cloud and Microsoft 365 environments.
- Manage technology partners and serve as the senior escalation point for local helpdesk and regional IT teams.
- Run Windows Server, Active Directory, virtualisation, storage, remote access, backup and disaster recovery platforms.
- Manage the Azure estate, including networking, cloud firewalls, VM provisioning and lifecycle, disaster recovery and governance.
- Manage next-generation firewalls, remote access, site-to-site VPNs, switching and network access control.
- Design and maintain Windows and mobile builds, device policies, security baselines and app deployment.
- Manage access policies, privileged access, single sign-on, guest access and hybrid identity.
- Administer enterprise email, file sharing, collaboration and compliance tools, and provide infrastructure and governance support for AI, app and reporting platforms.
- Plan maintenance windows and communicate changes to regions and stakeholders.
- Lead global infrastructure projects end to end, from scoping and vendor proposals to planning and stakeholder updates.
- Provide senior second- and third-line escalation support to regional IT teams, join the on-call rota and coach junior colleagues.
- Manage MSPs and suppliers against agreed service levels.
- Support vulnerability remediation, cybersecurity event triage and response, and ongoing ISO 27001 alignment.
- Maintain SOPs, runbooks and build standards.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as an Infrastructure Support Engineer or in a similar role, ideally within a mid-sized to enterprise business.
- Hands-on experience with datacentre infrastructure, including Windows Server, VMware and/or Hyper-V, SAN storage and Veeam.
- Experience supporting a hybrid Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID environment, including Conditional Access, PIM and enterprise app SSO.
- Advanced Microsoft Intune experience, including Autopilot, configuration and compliance policies, security baselines, app deployment and App Protection.
- Extensive administration experience across Microsoft 365: Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams and Purview.
- Strong Azure IaaS and networking skills, including VMs, VNets, NSGs, VPN gateways, private endpoints and Site Recovery, with an understanding of Azure governance.
- A security-first mindset, with experience delivering projects and managing third-party partners.
- Comfortable communicating in English, the primary language used in the hotels.
