The House Porter at The Dorchester delivers housekeeping supplies, maintains stores, assists with spring cleaning and organises special room set-ups, while responding to guests’ requests. The role is permanent and full-time.
Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver housekeeping supplies to the different floors as directed by the floor supervisor and maintain housekeeping stores.
- Assist with spring-cleaning duties as needed, including vacuuming and dusting corridors, carpet edges, the tops of wall lights and mouldings, and washing down walls.
- Organise special room set-ups to meet guests’ requirements.
- Respond flexibly and creatively to guests’ special requests and challenges that arise during the day.
