Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver agreed sales KPIs including sales volume, average transaction value, units per transaction, and conversion targets while motivating the team to achieve results
- Support execution of product launches and seasonal campaigns in accordance with marketing plans and visual merchandising guidelines, collaborating with host store teams to ensure successful installation
- Lead and manage all counter events including launch previews, customer engagements, make-up demonstrations, and fragrance consultations
- Deliver exemplary customer service standards across the counter and manage consumer queries and complaints with professionalism
- Demonstrate comprehensive product knowledge and represent the Diptyque brand authentically to customers and staff
- Coach and develop team members on sales techniques, product knowledge, and customer service excellence
- Monitor competitive landscape and industry trends to inform counter strategy and positioning
- Communicate commercial insights regarding counter and host store performance, working with the Counter Manager to develop fact-based recommendations for business improvement
- Maintain accurate reporting and paperwork including daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations; interpret sales data and establish action plans
- Ensure counter, displays, and back-of-house areas are maintained to luxury brand standards at all times
- Manage inventory in collaboration with the Inventory Manager and host store teams, conducting scheduled stock takes
- Assume responsibility for emergency situations and security protocols in the Counter Manager's absence
- Uphold all Company and Selfridges policies, including cash handling procedures, health and safety requirements, and till protocols
Qualifications
- Proven fragrance, beauty, or luxury retail experience with demonstrated sales success
- Strong understanding of retail KPIs and performance metrics
- Excellent people management and performance coaching skills
- Advanced customer service capabilities with confidence in engaging diverse clientele
- Self-motivated, focused individual with strong initiative and problem-solving abilities
- Professional written and verbal communication skills at a high standard
- Polished appearance reflecting luxury retail standards
- Availability for full-time employment including Saturday and Sunday shifts as required
