Role & Responsibilities
- Prepare timely, complete and accurate monthly and quarterly management accounts, maintaining the month-end timetable and coordinating delivery to agreed deadlines
- Provide variance analysis with explanatory commentary and end-of-month reports to support management decision-making
- Maintain the balance sheet reconciliation file and complete assigned monthly and quarterly reconciliations
- Business partner with the Leadership Team, Heads of Department, Payroll and Travel Retail, providing insightful and accurate analysis to budget holders
- Support statutory accounts preparation and respond to queries arising from the year-end audit
- Assist the Financial Accountant with corporation tax return preparation by analysing spend
- Drive continuous improvement by suggesting and implementing better ways of working
Qualifications
- Part-qualified in CIMA, ACA or ACCA and actively studying towards completion
- 1–2 years' experience in an accounting role or equivalent practical experience
- Advanced user of Microsoft Excel
- Competent user of management information systems (Hyperion, ERM packages, Cognos)
