Canada Goose Flagship Store Security Ambassador

Role & Responsibilities

• Represent Canada Goose as a front-line brand ambassador to guests and team members.
• Maintain a visible presence at the store entrance and control access to the property.
• Acknowledge guests as they enter and exit the property.
• Contribute to a positive store environment through effective communication, teamwork and partnership with brand ambassadors and store management.
• Help create a safe work environment for associates and customers.
• Help protect store operations and assets.
• Attend and participate in all store meetings and events.
• Demonstrate values and behaviours consistent with Canada Goose’s culture.
• Develop and maintain professional relationships with internal partners, mall security and other retailers, keeping all parties informed with current and relevant information.
• Ensure facility safety and emergency procedures are followed in response to fire alarms and on-site emergencies.
• Complete and submit CG Incident reports within 24 hours of an event.
• Participate in store cycle counts and the physical inventory process.
• Support initiatives to maintain brand standards during delivery and merchandising.
• Connect directly with the Senior Loss Prevention Manager to help influence Canada Goose loss-mitigation strategies.
• Maintain standards for store security equipment.
• Support completion of the monthly Operational Control Checklist and action planning to improve store operational standards, where applicable.
• Engage with customers and store associates with a customer-service mindset.
• Serve as a JHSC member and complete monthly Health & Safety Inspections.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years’ experience working in retail, with knowledge of workplace safety and emergency procedures.
• Experience in Loss Prevention or Retail Security is an asset.
• Recognized, valid first aid and CPR certificates.
• Must obtain Security Guard licensing if not currently licensed.
• Team player with a strong sense of collaboration and a growth mindset.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Meticulous record-keeping, report-writing and observation skills.
• Exceptional judgment, common sense and decision-making ability.
• Good physical well-being and ability to walk, stand for extended periods, climb stairs and lift objects up to 20 lbs.
• Availability to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.

Experience

2–3 years’ experience working in retail; experience in Loss Prevention or Retail Security is an asset.
