The Assistant Store Manager leads the store and sales team, drives business performance and client loyalty, develops talent, and ensures compliant and effective store operations. The role supports the Store Manager across sales, visual merchandising, inventory, and Retail Excellence.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead the store and sales team to meet and exceed sales and KPI targets in compliance with processes and guidelines.
  • Promote brand engagement with clients to achieve assigned quantitative and qualitative goals and realise the store’s full potential.
  • Represent the Store Manager and carry out tasks assigned by HQ/HO and the Store Manager.
  • Develop and maintain strong business relationships with relevant internal and external stakeholders to maximise business opportunities and operational efficiency.
  • Support the Store Manager in overseeing floor coverage, sales, visual merchandising, displays, client service and store operations.
  • Support the Store Manager in achieving quantitative and qualitative targets.
  • Create and maintain a positive working environment consistent with Balenciaga behaviours.
  • Identify, attract, recruit, develop and retain talent.
  • Support the Store Manager in building a motivated, competent team with up-to-date knowledge of the fashion and luxury industries.
  • Act as a Balenciaga Ambassador and sustain and promote the brand’s culture internally and externally.
  • Ensure the Balenciaga Signature and client experience are delivered consistently over time.
  • Develop a clienteling mindset and build client loyalty and retention, from beginners to VICs.
  • Build a network of people influential in local and international luxury business to promote client loyalty, particularly among VICs and VVICs.
  • Ensure processes comply with legal, safety, security, internal, sustainability and HR requirements.
  • Ensure Retail Excellence guidelines are implemented in the store.
  • Support the Store Manager in managing inventory activities and warehouse stock.
  • Challenge and improve existing processes to support growth and ensure efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Sustained, proven experience in a managerial position.
  • Significant sales experience in luxury retail.
  • Proven experience successfully managing a team.
  • High sensitivity to client experience and loyalty.
  • Exceptional client service and interpersonal skills.
  • Precise, innovative, organised, adaptable and dynamic.
  • Highly available and responsive, with natural curiosity.
