Aesop is hiring an Assistant Store Manager for its Bicester Village store to partner with the Store Manager on team leadership, customer experience and commercial results, while providing operational and administrative support. This is a full-time, on-site, 40-hour-per-week fixed-term position for 12 months, including some weekend work.
Role & Responsibilities
- Partner with the Store Manager to lead, develop and motivate the team.
- Help deepen customers’ experience of Aesop products and create exceptional, inclusive customer experiences that contribute to commercial success.
- Provide operational, administrative and leadership support in the store while maintaining Aesop’s standards.
- Engage with customers, listen to their needs and guide them to relevant products.
Qualifications
- Experience in a people-management role or similar position in a customer service environment.
- Proven effective selling skills and ability to drive commercial outcomes.
- A record of contributing to and leading a team, and creating an inclusive, psychologically safe work environment.
- Ability to use empathy to manage interpersonal relationships.
- An open mindset and deep curiosity, with the ability to understand others, listen without judgement and act on diverse perspectives.
- Strong communication, problem-solving and merchandising skills.
- Working knowledge of skincare and the skincare industry is advantageous.
- Knowledge of hair care, body care, fragrance and home categories is advantageous.
- Computer literacy, including strong familiarity with the Microsoft Office suite.
