All applicants ought to know these basics about Omega before applying or interviewing for any role.

Omega was founded in 1848 in La Chaux-de-Fonds and built its reputation on industrial precision, making it an appealing name for candidates interested in both heritage and large-scale Swiss watchmaking.
The brand became a defining force in sports timekeeping, including the Olympic Games, so careers there often sit at the intersection of horology, engineering, data precision, and global event operations.
Omega’s Speedmaster was the first watch worn on the moon, giving the company a uniquely strong connection to space history and a culture shaped by testing, reliability, and technical storytelling.
As part of Swatch Group, Omega offers access to the resources of a major watchmaking group while maintaining a distinct identity positioned above brands like Longines and alongside innovation-led peers such as Blancpain.
The brand is especially known for advanced movement technologies such as the Co-Axial escapement and Master Chronometer certification, which makes it attractive for job seekers drawn to product development, quality assurance, and high-performance manufacturing.
Omega’s long-standing presence in fashion, cinema, and ambassador partnerships means roles there often require balancing technical legitimacy with luxury marketing and global brand image management.
