All applicants ought to know these basics about Goyard before applying or interviewing for any role.

Goyard traces its roots to 1853 in Paris, making it one of the oldest trunk and leather houses still associated with the golden age of travel.
The brand is famous for its hand-painted Goyardine canvas, a signature chevron motif inspired by the Goyard family’s history as log drivers and still central to the house’s artisanal identity.
Unlike many luxury peers such as Louis Vuitton, Goyard has long favored discretion over mass visibility, with minimal advertising and a deliberately low-profile public presence.
For job seekers, Goyard’s reputation rests on small-scale craftsmanship, personalization, and heritage retail rather than seasonal fashion spectacle, which can mean a more product-and-client focused working culture.
Because Goyard remains independently minded and tightly controlled, careers there are often shaped by exclusivity, exacting standards, and a strong emphasis on preserving house codes across boutiques and workshops.
