Privacy Policy

Cerulean is operated by John Philip Green, Singapore. We (“Cerulean”) decide how your personal data is used, which makes us its controller under the UK GDPR, and this policy covers every Cerulean site. Questions and requests go to luxury@ceruleanjobs.com.
1. What We Collect
- Your account. You sign in with Google, Apple, Facebook or LinkedIn, which gives us your name, email address and profile photo. We never see or hold a password.
- Your CV, if you upload one: the file, its text and the contact details in it, and the job preferences we infer from it.
- Your preferences and activity: the brands, places and roles you choose, the jobs you apply to through us, and whether you open our emails or click the jobs in them.
- Your approximate location — country, region and city — inferred from your IP address.
- How the sites are used: pages viewed and searches made, measured by Google Analytics where you have allowed its cookies (see our Cookie Policy); and server logs — IP address, browser, page requested — which we delete after 90 days.
2. How We Use It
- To provide the service you signed up for (performance of a contract, Article 6(1)(b) UK GDPR): your account and job recommendations. Job alerts by email are sent only if you opt in (consent, Article 6(1)(a)), and every one has a one-click unsubscribe.
- To match you with jobs, AI models running in our own cloud account read your CV. It is never used to train them. The matching only chooses which jobs to show you: it makes no decision about you, and no employer sees it.
- To keep Cerulean secure and to improve it, which is our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f)); and to measure how it is used, with your consent (Article 6(1)(a)).
3. Who Receives It
We do not sell your data, and we do not give your CV or profile to employers. Applying takes you to the employer’s own site, which receives nothing from us.
Your data is processed on our behalf by Amazon Web Services (hosting, email, AI), MongoDB (database), Kinde (sign-in) and Google (analytics). We disclose it to authorities only where the law requires it.
4. Where It Goes
We are based in Singapore, and your account and CV are stored there. Our providers also process data in other countries, chiefly the United States and the European Union. These transfers rely on the standard contractual clauses, with their UK addendum, in our agreements with them.
5. How Long We Keep It
For as long as your account is open. You can delete your CV from your account at any time. To close your account and erase your data, write to us and we will do so within 30 days.
6. Your Rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, have it corrected or deleted, restrict or object to our use of it, and withdraw any consent you have given. Write to luxury@ceruleanjobs.com and we will answer within a month. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
7. Changes
We will email account holders before any important change to this policy takes effect.
